Operations Manager - Outsource Manufacturing

Position Summary
C-POLAR Mexico is looking for an Operations Manager overseeing contract OEMs in Mexico, your role is pivotal in ensuring efficient and streamlined order to delivery processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage resources, and drive operational excellence. Here are the key responsibilities for this position:
  1. Strategic Planning and Execution:
    • Develop and execute strategic plans for outsource manufacturing operations.
    • Collaborate with senior management to align production goals with overall business objectives.
    • Optimize processes to enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness.
  2. Vendor Management and Outsourcing Coordination:
    • Identify and evaluate potential outsourcing partners in Mexico.
    • Assist with negotiating contracts, pricing, and service agreements with vendors.
    • Monitor vendor performance and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  3. Resource Coordination and Capacity Planning:
    • Align resources efficiently to meet production demands.
    • Monitor production capacity and collaborate with OEM’s to capacity is sufficient to meet demand
  4. Quality Assurance and Compliance:
    • Implement quality control standards and measurements in collaboration with OEM’s to maintain product standards.
    • Outline compliance requirements with OEM to align with industry regulations, safety protocols, and environmental guidelines.
    • Conduct regular audits of manufacturing processes.
  5. Supply Chain Optimization:
    • Collaborate with OEM planning teams to align supply with demand.
    • Streamline material sourcing, procurement, and logistics.
    • Mitigate supply chain risks and disruptions.
  6. Customs and Logistics
    • Plan and coordinate the efficient delivery of raw materials to support production.
    • Collaborate with logistics partners to ensure optimal logistics practices are followed – factory to client with full visibility.
  7. Continuous Improvement Initiatives:
    • Identify areas for process improvement and cost reduction.
    • Implement lean principles and best practices
    • Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
  8. Performance Metrics and Reporting:
    • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for OEM supply chain manufacturing operations.
    • Monitor KPIs related to efficiency, quality, and delivery.
    • Prepare regular reports for senior management.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial EngineeringOperations Management, or a related field.
  • Min 3 years experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in an outsourcing context.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills
  • Proficient English speaking and writing skills
